Our Heritage

Rootedintradition,refinedformodernliving.

Priority Landscaping began on Folly Beach in 1996 with a simple belief: exceptional landscapes are built through local knowledge, honest relationships and care that lasts well beyond installation. Nearly three decades later, that same approach guides a full-service team trusted to design, build and maintain more than 300 residential and commercial properties across Charleston and the Sea Islands.

From salt air and sandy soils to drainage, turf health and year-round growth, we understand what Lowcountry properties demand. Our designers, technicians, project managers and maintenance crews work as one team—creating landscapes that feel established, function beautifully and grow better with time.

“It’s important to keep our money local.”

Lowcountry expertise

Landscapinghererequireslocalknowledge.

01Coastal soils
Sandy, salt-influenced soils behave differently than inland ground. Plant selection, bed preparation and nutrition all have to account for it.
02Water and drainage
Heavy rain, high water tables and flat lots make drainage part of nearly every project. Dry wells, French drains, sump pumps and culvert piping are routine work here.
03Saltwater exposure
Storm surge and salt spray damage turf and plantings. We help clients recover lawns and choose material that tolerates the exposure.
04Heat, humidity and turf stress
Long warm seasons drive fungus, weeds and insect pressure. Our twelve-month turf program is built around that cycle instead of a handful of visits.
05Palms and trees
Palm installation, pruning and tree care take equipment and experience — especially on tight coastal lots and raised homes.
06Storms
When weather moves through, cleanup, debris removal and tree work come first so the property is safe and usable again.

How we work

Aclearpathfromfirstcalltoongoingcare.

  1. 01

    Start the Conversation

We learn about the property, the challenges you are dealing with, the result you want, your schedule and your budget.

  2. 02

    Property Walkthrough

We inspect the existing landscape, drainage, turf, access, structures and any project requirements on site.

  3. 03

    Scope and Plan

We develop recommended services, materials, schedule and estimate. For larger design projects we coordinate plans or CAD work with local landscape architects.

  4. 04

    Build or Maintain

We deploy the right trained crews, equipment and project oversight for the work in front of us.

  5. 05

    Ongoing Care

Maintenance, enhancements, turf management, seasonal care and future improvements as the property needs them.
